Description

Hosted by the APWA Kansas City Metro Chapter, Education and Training Committee.  Free Breakfast  starting at 7:30 program starts at 8:00 provided by Missouri One Call System.  Prevention of damage to buried utilities is a safety, financial and public welfare issue. And as such, should be a concern for all professionals who are involved in excavation projects.

Consideration for the protection of existing buried utilities should begin in the planning and design phase of all projects where excavation will occur.

Gathering underground facility information and including this information in the planning and design phase minimize the hazards, risks, cost, and work to produce the final project.

Please join us for this important discussion on best practices of the Common Ground Alliance, details of the ASCE 38-02 practice and other issues of damage prevention.
